In 2022, Howard University entered into a 20-partnership with Jordan Brand that would make the brand the official outfitter of Bison Athletics.
As to be expected the Howard athletes entered competition wearing several pairs of team exclusive footwear, which this upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low is reportedly based on.
No images have surfaced yet, but predictive speculation assigns an aesthetic of a Jordan 1 Low that sports a white leather foundational layer overlaid with navy at the toe and eye rows and red wrapping the heel. Navy Swooshes would adorn the sides, while smaller such branding in red appears at the forefoot.
Sans any Howard branding, a navy Wings logo would appear at the rear heel, with “NIKE AIR” seen on the tongue.
Underneath this upper would reside a sail midsole and muslin rubber outsole.
As it currently stands, the “Howard” Air Jordan 1 Low OG is planned to debut October 12, 2024 at nike.com and select retail establishments; they will carry a 140 USD sticker price.
